Here’s an early ’90s reunion I was not expecting, but is genuinely welcome. The good folks at The AV Club are hosting “An Evening with Pete & Pete” which will happen at Bowery Ballroom on February 24. Tickets are on sale at noon today (1/26).
Airing from 1993 - 1996 on Nickelodeon, >The Adventures of Pete & Pete was one of the weirdest, funniest, coolest shows of the ’90s. What will this event entail? Here’s what the AV Club says:
The list of cast and crew attendees is still growing, but as of right now, the whole Wrigley clan (Michael Maronna, Danny Tamberelli, Judy Grafe, and Hardy Rawls) are confirmed, as are Ellen (Alison Fanelli) and Artie (Toby Huss). The show’s creators Chris Viscardi and Will McRobb will be there, as will writer and director Katherine Dieckmann.
Earlier this year, some of the cast re-united in Los Angeles at Cinefamily, for a sold-out event that streamed live online. That was so much fun that we decided to help make this happen at least one more time-Chicago, watch your calendars-for all longtime blowholes and scab-biters. The A.V. Club’s reviews of The Adventures Of Pete And Pete have brought together old cast and crew members, so this just seemed like a natural next step.

The Magnetic Fields- The Flowers She Sent And The Flowers She Said She Sent.

(based on a Gertrude Stein short story, but also memorable for being the background melody in most Pete & Pete episodes)
